Now in its 24th year, Coats for Kids is an annual community project that collects and distributes warm winter coats to eligible children and teenagers in Central Texas. On the Monday following Coats for Kids Distribution Day, excess coats are distributed to eligible agencies in the Central Texas greater community for distribution to families in need. Agencies must submit a completed form no later than Monday, December 6, 2010, in order for us to process requests and assign the agency pick-up time.
- Surplus Day is December 13, 2010, by reservation only, 8 a.m. - 12 noon
- Surplus Day Distribution Site: Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road
- Please complete the Surplus Day Registration Form by December 6, 2010
- Please read the following Surplus Day requirements before submitting the registration form:
- Schools and Public Agencies must meet the following requirements to be eligible to receive coats on Surplus Day
- Non-Profit Agency- Please fax us a copy of your Tax Exemption Form or 501(c)3 determination letter to (512) 366-9681
- The agency will provide the coats in the spirit of Coats for Kids; the coats will be provided to families in need at no cost to them or their families
- The agency is serving the central Texas Area
- Agencies serving children will have priority over agencies only serving adults
