Gifts We Give

The Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas
The Junior League of Austin pledged a gift of $500,000 over five years to building the Dell Children's Center of Central Texas.  This important commitment was recommended by the Board of Directors and approved by the League membership in 2005.  The League believes that the state-of-the-art Dell Children's Medical Center is a benefit to Central Texas that will be unique in its broad impact on families from all walks of life.  Through this gift, the League has an unparalleled opportunity to touch the lives of hundreds of thousands of Central Texans for years to come.  The first installment of the League's pledge was paid in the summer of 2005.

The Long Center for the Performing Arts
The Junior League of Austin pledged a gift of $100,000 over five years to building the Long Center for the Performing Arts.  The significant commitment was recommended by the Board of Directors and approved by the League membership in 2005.  The League sees the Long Center for Performing Arts as one of the most important investments in the arts in this community - one that will offer entertainment, enrichment, and inspiration to many thousands of school children and arts patrons for years to come.  Through this gift, the League has a singular opportunity to be part of creating experiences in theater, music, and dance that can become part of the fabric of our entire community.  The first installment of the League's pledge was paid in the summer of 2005. 

75th Anniversary Gift
This is a onetime grant that will address a community issue or need that will enable The Junior League of Austin to impact the community in increments of 75.  Examples are 75 beds for a night at a homeless shelter, 75 cribs for a children's shelter, and 75 fans for a fan drive.
