Agencies must apply to become a Community Project. Applications may be for volunteers alone or for volunteers and accompanying funds (but not just for funding).
All agencies applying must attend Community Project Orientation:
• Friday, August 13, 2010
• 10:00 a.m.
• The Junior League of Austin Headquarters, 5416 Parkcrest, Suite 100
Attendance at the orientation is mandatory in order to submit a proposal. To confirm that your non-profit agency is on the mailing list to receive a notice for the August 13th, 2010 orientation, please email Doris Nañez at dnanez@jlaustin.org .
Applications are due by 3:00p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010.
Please note that to be considered as a community project, the following is required:
* Applicant agency must be a not-for-profit
* Agency must show proof of $1 million in liability insurance
* Agency must provide quality placements for a minimum of 6 League volunteers
* If funds are requested, the funds must relate to the work of the League volunteers
* Agency must allow a representative of The Junior League of Austin to sit on agency's Board of Directors as an ex-officio, non-voting member
* Agency must send a representative to attend the August orientation in order to submit a project proposal
* Agency must include the League name/logo in all publicity regarding the project
