How to Join the League

Thank you for your interest in joining The Junior League of Austin! We are excited at the prospect of you joining our community of mission-driven women.

Applications to join the 2024–25 Provisional class were due on Feb. 1, 2024. If you would like information about joining the 2025-26 Provisional class, please fill out our new member interest form.

Membership is open to Austin-area women aged 25 to 40. A Provisional member is promoted to Active membership after completing all the requirements in her first year of membership.

These are the steps for joining:

  • Fill out the new member interest form: Take the first step towards joining our community by filling out our New Member Interest Form. Let us know why you’re interested in joining the League and if a current member referred you. 

 

  • Attend a prospective member event: Once you’ve submitted the interest form, we will invite you to attend one of our prospective member events. Join us for a social hour, a volunteer opportunity, or a virtual open house where you can learn more about our organization and have your questions about membership answered.   • Fill out an application and pay the application fee: After you attend a Prospective Member event, you’ll receive information detailing the requirements for your Provisional year. At this point, you may fill out the application form and pay a $50 application fee that goes toward your Provisional dues.

 

  • Receive acceptance information: Within a month of submitting your application, you will be notified of your acceptance into The Junior League of Austin community. 

 

  • Receive information about future events: Though your official membership with the League does not start until June 1, 2024, we will send you information about optional upcoming events, such as special incoming member shifts for you to attend and meeting other League members and incoming members.

 

  • Sign Provisional Contract: You will receive a contract outlining the responsibilities for your Provisional year by March 1, 2024. This should be submitted by April 1, 2024, along with your Provisional dues.

 

  • Pay dues: Dues for your incoming Provisional year are due on April 1, 2024. This $335 fee includes your $50 application fee as well as a $50 credit toward A Christmas Affair passes or event tickets. Payment plans are available.
