The Junior League of Austin receives Distinguished Partnership Award

  The Junior League of Austin recently won the Distinguished Partnership Award at the Del Valle ISD Education Partners Awards banquet for our support of @DVISD schools through our FIT- Food In Tummies and Coats for Kids programs. JLA representatives Rachel Zander, Rachel Pry, and Rachel Plymire were there to accept the award.

We Kicked-off KICS!

    The Junior League of Austin recently launched a new signature program called KICS: Kids In Cool Shoes. JLA kicked off the pilot program at Guerrero-Thompson Elementary in the Rundberg neighborhood.   We had 8 of our volunteers out in the community helping with FriendFest, a family celebration of friendship, with Creative Action to support arts-based youth development programs in our community.  

JLA in the Community: Partnerships for Children

  3 DIAD volunteers helped at the Girl’s & Giving, Gin & Jazz event which raised over $60,000 for to support the Partnerships for Children, a non-profit organization that leads a collection of programs that offer resources, support and comfort for foster children and families in our community.
