Community Impact

Partnerships for Children works directly with caseworkers at Travis County Child Protective Services to directly benefit the abused and neglected children in the greater Austin area.  The Rainbow Room is a 24 hour resource center located within CPS headquarters where caseworkers can pick up essential items like formula, diapers, clothing and hygiene supplies for free whenever they need to help a child.  The Junior League of Austin volunteers will assist with the Holiday Wishes campaign, act as room coordinators, pick up donations and maintain inventory.

Mobile Loaves and Fishes - Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Inc. (MLF) is a social outreach ministry for the homeless and indigent working poor. The mission of Mobile Loaves & Fishes is to provide food, clothing, and dignity to individuals in need.  The Junior League of Austin volunteers provide support as Commissary Keepers and Truck Runners.

Faith in Action Caregivers – West Austin - The mission of FIA Caregivers – West Austin is to enhance the independence of older adults by providing support services that enable clients to continue living in their own residences and to remain active in the community. The Junior League of Austin volunteers serve as Drivers, provide Back Office Support and assist as Fan Drive Volunteers.

R.O.C.K. – Ride on Center for Kids provides equine-assisted programs to individuals with disabilities and disadvantaged youth to help improve their life potential by building life skills and independence and helping them become productive citizens in the community.  The Junior League of Austin volunteers assist as Sidewalkers and Horse Handlers.
