Women Building Better Communities

The Junior League of Austin

75th Anniversary Gift Fund Thank You

In celebration of its 75th Anniversary, The Junior League of Austin developed a special Grants Program to celebrate its Community presence. Community Agencies were given the opportunity to submit grant applications for 75 items not to exceed $7,500 per grant. A total of $100,000 was budgeted for this program.  A review committee consisting of the President, President-Elect, Researcher Chair, Community VP, Treasurer and the 75th Anniversary Grants Chair reviewed over 40 applications. The grant applications came in fast and furious and The Junior League was able to fund 19 requests.

The 19 agency grant recipients were invited and recognized at the 75th Anniversary luncheon on April 2, 2009.

The program was a great success and gave The Junior League of Austin another wonderful opportunity to give back to the Austin community.
