1934 Society
Honoring the Past. Empowering the Future.
The Junior League of Austin’s 1934 Society is the refreshed identity of our Planned Giving program, honoring those who have included the League in their estate plans. Named in tribute to the year JLA was founded, the 1934 Society reflects our enduring legacy and deep appreciation for donors who invest in our future.
Through planned gifts – such as bequests, charitable trusts, gift annuities, or naming JLA as a beneficiary – members of the 1934 Society ensure that our mission continues for generations to come. Planned gifts lay the foundation for JLA’s continued excellence and lasting community impact. These meaningful contributions represent a lasting commitment to JLA’s work in promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community.
By notifying JLA of your planned gift, you help our leadership team plan strategically and steward your commitment with care. Members and friends – both JLA members and non-members – are encouraged to complete the Gift Notification Form and review the Memorial Directive Form to thoughtfully include JLA in their estate planning.
As a member of the 1934 Society, you join a visionary group of donors who believe in the power of philanthropy and the importance of sustaining JLA’s mission for future generations.
Examples of planned gifts include:
- Bequests in a will or codicil
- Structures such as a Charitable Lead Trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts, or Charitable Gift Annuities
- Retirement plan assets or life insurance policies
